Summer is here and we’ve had a busy June at Twin Creeks.
Ms. Suba, a local art teacher came to paint with our residents. Art is a powerful tool that stimulates the brain, and provides a sense of accomplishment with a finished piece. Residents had such a great time creating their masterpieces! Thanks to Ms. Suba for providing this great experience.
We enjoyed a visit from Karen, Ms. Nadine’s daughter, who baked sugar cookies and brought them to decorate with the residents. What a fun and yummy treat for them!
We went purple in June to support those living with Alzheimer’s during Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month.
Everyone at Twin Creeks participated in The Longest Day fundraiser through the Alzheimer’s Association held each year on the 21st of June in honor of those living with the disease and those who have sadly lost the battle.
Twin Creeks celebrated CNA Appreciation Week and showed our love with gift baskets and a group photo with matching CNA and Nurse appreciation t-shirts.
