Growing up in a military family, Ms Pifer moved frequently and was happy to settle down in Anna Maria in the 1983 where she worked in the service industry for most of her early career. What led her to assisted living, was her grandfather’s time in a nursing home where she visited often and found joy engaging with him and other residents. She knew this would be the career path she wanted to pursue.

Her first experience as Activity Assistant brought about the work she loves doing, she explains, “making every day a meaningful, inspired, enriched day for our seniors.”

When the Activities Director retired, she was promoted into this role and continued to find ways to engage and motivate her residents with fun and creative activities.

Jackie was excited to hear that Twin Creeks Assisted Living & Memory Care was being built in the community. She knew that her experience had led her to this new role as Life Enrichment Director, after discussing in-depth with Shane Potter, Twin Creeks Executive Director, about the vision for Twin Creeks.

She tells us, “I was excited to come aboard to a new community, work with great people with the love for our seniors as I do. I feel it is all about our future residents, having compassion for their needs and wants as they live out each day of their lives.”

In her spare time Jackie works with the Animal Coalition of Tampa, trapping feral cats to be spayed or neutered and helps to find forever homes for many of them.

Jackie’s pay-it-forward attitude will be a great value to not only Twin Creeks but also to the community.

Welcome Jackie!
