The Twin Creeks’ Dine and Discover event at The Regent was a big success. We had more than 20 people there to learn more about “having the conversation” with their loved one. Although Genevieve wasn’t able to speak, she sent her colleague, Teresa Walker. Teresa provided a unique perspective as an adult child herself, taking care of her mother in North Carolina.  We took several questions about the community and the levels of care Twin Creeks will be providing.

Teresa Jackson a Care Manager Certified (CMC) since 2006, has been with Aging Care Advocates since 2010.
Teresa graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Gerontology and a Master’s degree in Gerontology with a concentration in Counseling. Teresa has worked with older adults, in a variety of capacities, for many years. While in college she worked in a nursing home as a nursing assistant, activities director, and admissions coordinator. She then worked with the Area Agency on Aging in North Carolina before moving to England and working with the National Charity Age Concern.

We were thrilled to be able to provide insight into the needs that Twin Creeks can provide to loved ones and ways to discuss this topic with them.
