Construction progress continues at Twin Creeks Assisted Living and Memory Care, and all signs are pointing to a successful May of 2017 opening.
The construction team has been fortunate with good weather and no hiccups along the way.
This week, windows were installed in much of the community, and during a recent walk through I noticed that the resident apartments and commons area spaces are really taking shape.
I am especially excited about the Memory Care part of our community. There is a nice large open space for residents to take part in “Life Stations.” Life stations will be areas set up that relate to a resident’s past career or family life. For example, one gentleman moving to Twin Creeks is a former architect. For most of his life, he had a shop where he could do wood working and design. For him, we will have a work table and tools for him to work with outside of his apartment.
Another woman moving to Twin Creeks used to run a day care center. Taking care of small babies was her entire life. She feels extremely comfortable when she is wrapping up a baby in a blanket or folding laundry. We’ll have a station set up for her where she’ll have “babies” to take care of, blankets and towels to handle and fold.
We are excited about this new community, and not just for the beauty of the spaces, but for what it will mean for the people who are going to live there.
If you are interested in seeing our construction site, come to visit us in the Twin Creeks Sales Office at 13426 Boyette Road. We are located in the River Springs Shopping Center, which is adjacent to the construction site. You can really start to see our community taking shape.
